First T-Shirt of #vmworld 2017

So after arriving in the chaotically city of Las Vegas late Friday, I went to get registered today and got my official VMworld bag and complementary T-Shirt. Which leads to the first T-shirt review of VMworld 2017

The official T-shirt is again this an all black cotton shirt from Port Company, it features a nice and subtle VMworld 2017 logo at the front and a nice faded circuit board print on the back.

I would wish VMware would do the golf polos for the official shirt, as they hold shape and print so much better than these cotton ones

Score is 8 out of 10.

The times they are a changin.

So the time has arrived where I can unveil what I’ll be doing next. After Seven years at the Central Bank of Denmark, I’ve been offered the position as Platform Owner Hypervisor & Chief IT Infrastructure Specialist at Nordea Bank. They have one of the nordic’s biggest VMware farms, where I will be responsible for the strategy for the hypervisor platform in the Bank.

It’s not that easy leaving a job you really liked, but opportunities like this don’t come around that often. And I must say it’s the first time ever I’ve seen a job posting that should have started with “Dear Terkel…”

So June 1.st I’ll have to remember to travel 1 stop longer with the Metro in Copenhagen to take me to The Nordea Headquarters just across the water from the Central Bank.

I can honestly say that I’m really excited about the challenges ahead.

One of the best gifts you get from being a #vExpert – #pluralsight

pluralsight_Inline_01Again this year, Pluralsight has stepped up to the plate and swung a home run. All vExperts of 2016 will get 1 year of free access to all their training videos.

These include alot of vSphere 6 courses, both Datacenter, view and Cloud videos. They have well known people like David Davis, Greg Shields and Chris Wahl, just to name a few,  to do their training courses.

I my eyes very useful resource that I actually payed for before becoming a vExpert.

So thank you Pluralsight
